Which School? 2015

The 2015 edition of Which School? – the authoritative guide to British independent schools – is now available.

It is the 90th edition of this highly-respected guide, which was first published in 1924.

Which School? features details on more than 1,800 independent schools and brings together a wealth of information about boarding and day senior schools, prep and junior schools and selected international schools. The aim of this long-standing publication is to guide parents and children through the process of choosing the right school.

This year, the foreword is written by Sir Anthony Seldon, who highlights innovation as the key to excellence. We also have an excellent selection of editorials that explore the topics surrounding school selection, the positive effects of sports in schools, children’s education and their future.

Contributors include:

●Richard Morgan, Head Master of Great Ballard School, reflects on a key requirement for prep school parents – self confidence.

●Jonathan Hewat, of Loretto School, on the growth of a successful golf academy.

●Titus Mills, Head Master of Walhampton Prep School, on expeditions that inspire, educate and enthral.

●Mo Bosch from the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) considers the role of sport and physical activity in a broad and balanced education – especially for girls.

● Tessa Howard – Vyse, of Stathallan School, talks about the benefits of families heading north of the border to Scotland.

● Liam Williams, of Simply Learning tuition, on how a tutor can supplement a students education.

Editorial Contributors also include:

Angharad Holloway – Head of Talbot Health School in Bournemouth, Alex McGrath – Head of King’s Ely Senior and author of Classroom in the Cloud, Alun Pickford – Head of Design Technology at Dauntsey’s School, Mark Eagers – Principal of Cambridge Tutors College, Neill Lunnon – Deputy Head of Eagle House School, Lucy Elphinstone – Headmistress of Francis Holland School, Andrew Gordon Brown – Head of Truro School and Alison Jones – Head of Rye St Anthony.

We are also very pleased to feature an article from SFIA offering independent advice for parents on managing school fees, as well as informative pieces outlining the services, aims and purposes of each of the leading independent school associations.
