Learning in a Digi Age - webres

We are extremely proud to announce our latest publication: Learning in a digitalized age: Plugged in, turned on, totally engaged?

This volume is edited by Lawrence Burke, an international educator with 25 years’ experience, and seeks a critical and informed answer to one of the most important educational questions of the day: how successful will learners be in the digital age?

Writers with real hands-on experience in the field challenge many of the assumptions about teaching and learning in the digital age. It is relevant and important for all those interested and concerned about the kinds of debates, arguments and ideas which are influencing and changing the nature of teaching and learning in the early decades of the 21st century.

These contributors, from around the world and across all sections and levels of the educational sector, share their experiences of working with educational technologies, mobile and digital learning in their day-to-day lives in schools, colleges and universities.

The resulting arguments and reflections highlight the dramatic effects that technology is having on the human experience generally and in teaching and learning in particular.

Contributors include: Yara Azouqa; Lawrence Burke; Josephine Butler and Greg Vrhovrnik; Andrew Callaghan; Clyde Coreil; Patrick Dougherty; Dianne Evans; Simon Hayhoe; Julie Lindsay; Lisa Martin; Serge Morissette; Jon Orthmann, Reem Arafat & Nancy Fahnestock; Michelle Rogers-Estable and Roudaina Houjeir; Cris Rowan; Yasmine Salah El Din; Ieda M Santos; Dawn Seddon; Tanya Tercero; El-Sadig Yahya Ezza and Khaled Almudibry.

Learning in a digitalized age is the third book in John Catt’s World Class Schools series, following on from the success of Breaking through the language barrier by Patricia Mertin and The OIQ Factor by William Powell and Ochan Kusuma-Powell.
