John Catt Educational at the FASNA autumn conference November 10, 2011

Posted by Alex, Managing Director in Magazines.

I am back in the office after attending the very interesting Autumn Conference of the Foundation, Aided Schools and Academies National Association (FASNA) at the Hotel Russell in London.

John Catt Educational have a blossoming relationship with FASNA thanks to our new Academy magazine, which we have developed and recently launched together.

The response to the first issue of Academy from the delegates at the conference was fantastic. We have hit the spot with the right magazine at the right time; an informative, enlightening and topical magazine, with genuine editorial written by academy professionals for academy professionals.

The speakers and presenters certainly had plenty to talk about at the conference, with the uncertain issue of academy funding one of the hottest topics. Representatives from the Department for Education were also on hand to discuss the future of the academies programme – and we are hoping for some official government comment in the next issue of the magazine, published in January.

Thanks to all at FASNA, especially Tom Clark and Lynne Hoptroff, for their hard work in putting together a well organised and interesting day.
