Announcing another new text from Peridot Press, Jamie Bruce Lockhart’s follow up to LOCH LONGS the first fifty years, published in 1987 for their Golden Jubilee.

In the foreword, by Ann Bray, an Honorary Member, it is described how Jamie ‘concentrates on the links and cooperation between the Clyde and the Alde that have developed in this period’, whilst hinting at the friendly animosity that exists between the heavyweights of this small, but ardent, racing class.

Of the 138 boats that have been built since the foundation of the class in 1987, 130 are still in existence today; about half of them afloat and over a third actively raced.

A view from the inside, this book is not a chronological history, but rather, a series of essays written by someone who sails, owns and above all loves Loch Longs.

If you are passionate about classic boats and would like to promote the book in some way, do not hesitate to get in touch… Indeed, if you have any questions, we are here to answer them. The book is also available to buy from our bookshop.
